So, I'm really frustrated about my latest cash game results because I'm constantly losing with really great Cards against other monster hands.
I really feel that poker is all about luck because I can't see a way to avoid not loosing to much in these pots.

Two examples : Both times a 6-max Cash with a Buy-in of 5$.

First Hand :
My Hole Cards : QdQc
I open with a 0.15$ raise on the button.
The small blind raises to 0.45$ and I Call. Everyone else folded.

Flop: 6c7cQh
Villain: bets 0.75$ and I raise to 1.5$
he calls
Turn : 6c7cQh 5c
Villain checks
I bet 1.15$
He raises to 3.20$ and I Call
River : 6c 7c Qh 5c 10c
Villain bets 0.75$ and is All-In
I Call.
He shows As Ac

Was this bad play or just bad luck ? I mean I could have folded on the Turn because he could have a Straight or a Flush but I just didn't want to fold my Set. On the river I had a Queen High Flush myself.

i dont like flatting here with QQ i would rather 3 bet him and shove over his 4bet.. but you played it well just got very unlucky.. he isnt going anywhere with that hand so dont feel bad it happens to everyone ..

Shove turn... lets say it wasnt a club on river and he folds. This is worse than losing the hand. We would be leaving money on the table

Good enough play, but not getting it in and still call is a bit alarming, I hope you don' like to call too much in big pots?

If you have a pokertracker go to Graphs->Global Game Statistic-> (losing hands and winning hands), you will see how strong hands are in 3bet pots when people are playing for stacks 100bb+, flushes and full houses are well presented in losing section.

I'd say mostly bad luck on this specific hand.

Preflop u saved money by not 4-betting (but this isn't always correct especially if he 3-bets light).

Postflop, with both u having strong hands (and strong redraws), I don't see how either of you fold...

Had the betting played out differently, u might have escaped the river cheap but as played, not much u can do. Just remember, you'll be on the winning side of these scenarios too if u play long enough! And for what it's worth, I would have lost my stack preflop.

Variance. It happens. I dislike the min-raise on the flop. Raise more, get stacks in there.

Ups and downs of poker... Accept it, embrace it, over come the emotion of it.

Why did you flat the raise on the turn?

He's got 75c behind.

I prefer a raise to $3 on the flop.
