Oh yeah and results are irrelevant. He played his hand horribly and so did you.
who needs enemys when you have friends like this lol.
t is true though that you played your hand with the thought process of a level one thinker, which isn't bad but to improve away from a social player you need to start thinking about your plays in general.
What hands am i openning utg? why whould i not raise this UTG? if im not raising UTG for a very good reason then i need to fold this, as when i open hands UTG i want villians to think i have a strong hand as i will probably be playing this hand oop for the rest of it.
Also if i raise utg and get called oop, a c bet on a missed board will be a larger to call for villian if he has a weak draw or bottom pair etc or a complete miss, thus creating me immediate profit.
There is a lot more to think about, this is just a small taster for you to start with.
As far as the hand goes, if your getting to much respect for a big hand then you need to add more bluffs into your game, this will earn you more money and get you paid off more when you do have a hand.
But be careful to remember when you do bluff in situations to remember that it is a bluff and to fold to any aggression that would look like you where beat etc. It's easy to fall in to the trap and bluff off a stack into a monster etc.
