bet flop bigger 6bb giving 20bb pot if called
bet 15bb on turn giving 50bb pot if called
shove river.
this is getting fat value and is the way to beat 2nl , not fancy play bluffing people who wont fold.

if he's got A8 or A2 shit happens , but he's going to have loads of Ax and pocket pair combos here that you beat.

Yeah I agree that bet sizing is very small, even pre flop. I think it's a a crime not to get 50ish BB in by the river when you have a set. There are two hands that now beat you (AA would likely have raised us). Better bet sizing, get more money in good. If he hit a better FH on the river it's just a bad beat. Also why haven't you got a full stack?

Your objective is to get the money in before the river card. Your betting is too small on both flop and turn. Get over the fear of losing the payoff, and bet accordingly. If he has something he is coming along, so get the money in.

There is no reraise in the hand and he would reraise with A8 or A2 (both pretty vulnerable), so I think there is little to fear with the ace on the river.

What zizing you use in a situation like this? I mean I am betting 1/2 pot becuase my hand is strong and I dont wanna that the villian folds.

I think that a previous post said 6BB and I think that is about right, maybe even a little more. I know it is hard in these situations because you think you could possibly lose your caller if you bet too much. But realistically they are only calling if they have 1/2 a hand to call with. In my opinion it is not a terrible play to err on the side of betting too much, instead of too little.

so say 3/4 of pot on flop is about 6.2 call is 12.4 and pot is now 21
on the turn 3/4 of 21 is about 15 and a bit so bet 16 if called the pot is now 52, with all in on river.

One other thing here is your bet sizing. Keep it the same with a made hand or a continuation bet. It keeps your opponent guessing. An observant opponent will note what you do, and when you do it, so a 'sameness' of bet size puts doubt into their thinking.
