I probably bet flop larger or just don't bet at all. You gave him a great price to float in position with his entire range.

Yeah but it is a 3bet pot... I do this with pretty much anything, 2pair set overpairs and this hand would be the bottom of my range.

I figured it saves money betting this amount. If he's whiffed he'd fold... if he calls and we get an Ace we still able to get it in by river.

Are you 3betting for value or as a bluff?

If I'm 3betting this OOP with the SB flatting, I'm making it at least .75 . Honestly though, I'm probably not 3betting my AQ there.

A blocker. Squeeze play i felt was optimal. (Bluff)

And hoping to end on flop... Unless we hit the board.

How do you come up with the amount to squeeze? Just curious may use it for future.

i think its cbet depends on what kinda 3b flat range

I was thats why i cbetted... a lot of hands that called im behind of would fold.

After he calls cbet he has jx or qq or tt im guessing. Unless floating and id hate to gii for ak to call lol

The club and 5 spooked me tbh or i wouldve bet. River

The 5 is meaningless and there was no flush draw on the flop but betting the river would be pretty bad since he basically folds nothing on the river.

I think in position and/or heads up, betting half pot here all day is perfectly fine. OOP, 3 handed though, I am just giving up. Too many hands are going to float for half pot here, especially pocket pairs which villains should have a lot of. I think c betting in this exact spot is burning money.

I also have to agree with WVH about squeezing larger, I always add x1 for a squeeze and x1 for being OOP so I'd make it about .75-.80 too

Interesting hand. 3-bet pre I'm torn on, but probably lean towards flatting. Having villain 4-bet and losing the fish is the nightmare scenario. But 5NL is so passive, that rarely happens.

Cbet I'm okay with. But lots of pairs are floating here, prolly a good turn to barrel against a bad 5NL player who can't hand read. Trying to push him off 77-TT/sticky over cards.

As played, betting river is burning money. Just check, and hope he checks back KQ.

I agree with c9 that if you do choose to bet flop here you need to double barrel, even on a super blank like this. I don't think I am ever really flatting AQ pre in this spot though.

If you bet flop you should probably have a plan to bet a certain # of turns too. A single 1 and done cbet in a 3bet pot might not get enough folds to be +EV against the calling stations at 5nl. Also villian is 3betting 6% so he knows you have a pretty wide range. On the turn you pick up more outs so you should probably continue and probably continue on the river if the board doesn't pair.
