What do you think of this hand? My thinking at the time was that there aren't too many hands that villian can have in a 3-bet pot that I'm really afraid of.

Does anyone disagree and I think that I should have folded to this check-raise shove on the flop? How about the sizing of my bets?

This is OK. If he had a weirdly played AA, such is life.

If he tried set mining with 77/88, he already made a mistake preflop.

Standard. Was your question about pre-flop or the flop?

I'm still hoping to improve my bet sizing all round. Are they okay in this hand? I think my bet on the flop could have been bigger.

In a re-raised pot, I don't mind in a spot like this giving the illusion of fold equity. Single raised pot, you should be betting more on this flop.

Your call on the flop is good I think, he could easily have a doinated ace, or maybe second pair and doesn't believe you. Or maybe he has a set. That happened to me a lot. I went all in with tptk and found that my opponent had a set. But since this is a low stake, the all in on the flop is ok

Did he have two pair or better?

Its hard to say anything without much info. But I don't really like the call, when he was representing two pair or better, 'cause you're clearly behind.

If you REALLY want to improve as a poker player, then you should be punching this hand into an equity calculator and talking with your colleagues on here about hand ranges, not whether a call is good or not. I know in OP's case here, we wanted to know about bet sizing, which is also a great question to ask. But the best way to improve your game the fastest is to post or respond to hands like this with ranges and equity.

Yeah, that is what I should have done John A.

He turned up with AT here but he could have better. I've still got great equity against his range here so the call wasn't bad at all.
