ignition zoom.

UTG raises to 10 cents (2x the BB), UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 (Hero) with AdKh 3- bets to 40 cents

folds around to UTG who calls, but UTG+1 4-bets to $1.10 after just calling the 2x raise from UTG. For some reason they were afraid of being dominated by UTG so they flatted the 2 bet but decided to 4-bet me after my 3-bet.

It is $0.70 to win $1.97 for me at this point. If I flat the UTG player can also call and I prefer heads up with AK. So I decided to jam. UTG folded AKo and UTG+1 folded AQo to my jam and I took it down. Should I have played it differently? Thanks.

Shove pre... Soon as villain flats and then raises... It looks like JJ or QQ doing something crazy.

Then its just a flip :) We will make money by getting them to fold pre and also winning A and K... also when we have AA or KK in this spot we will get looked up a lot more as well.

We will see 99-AA here, maybe AK. But we have blockers to the kind of hands that dominate us, and will just miss the flop too often and have to fold to a cbet, so this is between folding and shoving. It's harder since we don't know anything about villains tendencies, and I think it's a close spot. Depends on if you wanna take the route of high variance or not.

Nice hand.

I agree with Tricky, how comfortable are u with variance... Most likely I would expect to see 99-JJ. With slight fold equity and blockers, I think the numbers would say shove, with fold the next best option.

Something I like to think about too is my image to the table here... they wouldn't know u have AK but folding to a 4bet there suggests u 3 bet light or don't like to gamble (which could be used against u). Shoving AK to a 4bet suggests ur not easily pushed off a hand preflop (a good thing I think).

:DJust a question here (I have never played on Ignition so pardon the ignorance). Isn't it anonymous? Somebody was talking about table image in Ignition Zoom, but if my assumption is correct, image is a non-factor here. It comes down to simply exploiting your opponents here. If you just flat the 4-bet, you open yourself up to possibly playing this hand against more than one opponent, one of which may push you (potentially) off the best hand after the flop.

Given you have AK, you're blocking AA and KK so it's less likely you're up against those hands, and you'll get better hands to fold to that kind of pressure as well.

It's about exploiting your opponents in the right spots.

Touché! Image considerations not a big deal in Zoom I would think (I never play zoom)!
