SB checks, Hero bets $1.06, SB raises to $4.40 and is all-in, Hero?

villain is 14/13 fold to 3bet pre 50% (2/4) 177hands

3bet pot with tp and a backdoor fd, I'm never folding this, you can't fold tp in a 3bet pot

why cbet less?
You want to promote him to peel with Tx, JJ-KK, KQ, QJ, ect. There's a lot of hands that have a little bit on this board, but not a ton of super strong hands. Also, you don't have to c-bet big to get all the dollaz in.

Plus, balance, but that rarely matters. But since villain seems a little reggy, it might matter at some point.

makes perfect sense

now in a non 3bet pot were not going to be doing this right? because we want to make sure to get stacks in by the river

Non 3-bet pot is kinda a different animal, but yes. Generally you'll want to c-bet closer to pot, so you can bet/bet/overbet-small or bet/overbet small/bet all the money in.

However, if its just a raised pot, we're no longer super duper pumped about getting all the money in. We'll do it if villain takes a line that leads us to believe he's bluff catching or has a weak hand, but its not like a 3-bet pot where you just insta-stack TPTK with AK.
