I feel like you need to take a more aggressive line here somewhere. I'd prefer to raise or fold the flop (raise being kind of a bluff). A good way to improve is to turn more of your calling range into a raise or a fold imo.

Calling the flop, what are you hoping for? I don't see how your hand can really improve that much other than hitting a king. If you're floating to see if he gives up, the turn is the time to bet. Don't really see what your plan was post.
