BB raises to $5.62 (All-In), Hero ??

I don't see much we beat except maybe another over pair or a bluff, but not sure they would take this line with overpair. Do I have to just fold here or do we ever find a call?

On the flop what range does he BB call your c-bet here with, assume he has you on a pair or a big A preflop. IMO A4 through A8 and 4toT connected through 1 gapper's.

The turn six hits this range and also adds the club flush potential to his outs.

To shove that river when the eight falls he almost has to have a small set or the 7 to make a straight.

Call it off. It's doubtful villain has 77 or 88. It's a great river card for villain to bluff, and we're getting decent pot odds.

It's such a nutted line that i very much doubt we have the 40% equity we need to call.I don't expect TT-QQ to take this line and basically just expecting to see 77 the vast majority of the time the way it's played out.Villain can also have some sets and possibly even something like 98s.If villain looked more aggro splashy/fishy then i think calling is fine. But vs a passive looking 20/15 i think calling is very optimistic.

I would fold. But, I have seen the bluff in that situation as well. Very tough indeed, especially micro tables. Here's a question, would this be out of position for him to have, or is he playing pretty much anything mp?

BB raises to $5.62 (All-In), Hero calls $5.62

Total pot: $19.57 | Rake: $0.73

Results:
Hero had A

, A

(one pair, Aces).
BB had 9

, 8

(two pair, nines and eights).

Outcome: BB won $18.60

I ended up making the call, I seem to have a lot of suited connectors calling my 3bets recently and getting there.. maybe I'm just being too results oriented.

These hands will be a larger portion of villains range 150+bb deep.If villain calls them 100bb deep oop vs a 3bet they likely just aren't that positionally aware and just aren't adjusting ranges when oop facing 3bets.So you should be able to print money vs them especially ip once you know they are calling this loose. They will be playing fit or fold postflop so just value bet the hell out of them until you get raised. If they take up the aggression just get out the way vs this tight passive villain type.

Thanks for the advice, one thing I've noticed is even when they have tight-ish stats I will see them make some weird plays that don't seem to always fit their stats.

Ye it can happen but generally speaking passive fish call and aggro fish raise. What you need to ask is given the villain player type here is are we good 30% of the time not are we good once in a blue moon. And that goes for all situations, making one correct call doesn't necessarily mean it's a good call long term.Tight players do have bluffs they just don't have enough bluffs.

I've seen massive bluffs here (which is basically what he had), but with that river I reluctantly fold.

Easy exploit fold bud. Shame. We just don’t win here very often at all.

This is a set or straight close to 100% of the time.

Easy of the table eh? Much harder on it.
