Playing 6max 5NL Zoom facing unknown villain, should I fold or raise/shove AA in this spot? I have made 3 shows of strength and he is raising me. Obviously I can beat any draw, top pair and all but three pocket pairs, but should I be wary enough of him holding QQ, a 5 or 33 to slow down? Or should I shove and bemoan my bad luck if he does have me beat?

Also what do people think about min 3 betting pre flop with AA? It always feels like a bit of a fishy play, but I do so for two reasons. Obviously I want action and don't want to scare off hands that would fold to a larger bet, and also by reopening the betting I give the villain the opportunity to potentially stack off pre flop with strong hands I dominate.

But mainly I'm curious if people would generally raise/shove in this situation? :)

Since you 3-bet preflop, your opponent is less likely to be bluffing you on the turn. I believe calling has the highest return. Shoving only gets calls you want from AQ and maybe KQ. Everything else probably folds. Call and hope he is bluffing with a club draw. Re-evaluate the river. If a club comes on the river you'll probably have to fold.

Your min-3bet is weak IMO. It looks strong, but also prices your opponents in. If your larger 3-bets keep getting folds then start 3-bet bluffing.

Thanks for the thoughts guys, much appreciated. As it happens I shoved, putting him on AQ or KQ, and he turned over K5!
I guess the moral of this story is to be more straightforward and 3 bet bigger pre flop as people suggest, as he (probably!) would have folded his junk to a bigger bet.
Just hard to overcome the feeling of potential regret when winning so little with AA! :)

Agree.

Add to it that its more painful to lose big with AA than winning so little with it.

3-bet more pre-flop, bet more on the turn, and shove to the raise.

3bet more preflop as others have said. the table dictates what amount that is. I've seen tables at these limits where you can bet a dollar or so and still have those crap hands showing up or worse.
