villain: 23/0 but only 13 hands
He's basically repping just the flush and he shouldn't have bluffs in his range. AXs should be the biggest part of his range. Is it ok to b/f on river or is it weak?

i didn't want him to fold worse hands on turn and he's Ax in his range as well. But yeah I could've gone for more, thanks for the comments ;)

Wow, im surprised you guys are folding here. I think i might be calling here. There is no reason to believe he has a flush (except the fact that hes shoving river lol). But since its a backdoor flush and he calls flop, he might have AK or something similar. Why does he have to have the flush here?

So when someone shoves a backdoor flush we fold straights as default?

Im skeptical as to whether this is a good fold or not.

why would he not raise AK on turn. raising AK on river would be quite bad imo, 5d is one of the worst river cards

At 5NL a massive overshove for a full stack is the nuts. He either hit a flush, hit a better straight, or hit a set. We don't have proper odds to call and pray it's the set.

This is good advice, no doubt. but ive seen fish play 2 pairs this way. Sets(which we beat) and aldo the same straight we have.

But yea against thinking villains this is probs a fold.

it's more of a fold vs. non-thinking villains.

I do not think he is thinking too much. A shove means the nuts. No one will think he is bluffing unless the other guy has the nuts himself. So eather he looses his stack or he collects nothing. A minraise on the river will probabely be called . A shove not that much.

They don't generally play two pair this way with a four straight on the board though. b/f here is pretty standard on the river.
