What did you thnk villains have? What are your reads on them? Are they idiots who will call two barrels with bottom pair only to fold on the river? Are they mofos who'll call off their stack on pocket 9s on that board? What are you repping? And does it even matter? (i.e. are villains capable of putting YOU on a hand?)
This is zone poker. There are no reads. People make rediculous calls.
My thoughts at the time were that I didn't want to get blown off my hand. I was hoping to pair up or hit a club.
I did not think either villain was strong, but I did think I needed some help to win.
The dude who limped UTG whom I tried to isolate, he had KJhh. He called preflop and OTF and all in OTT with no pair.
The other guy had 8-8. There was an over card OTF to his PP. He called three barrels and called off his stack OTR.
Obviously zero FE.
It was a really tough spot for me at the time. I felt like if I showed weakness and checked, they would try to jam and push me out. So I controlled the pace and price by taking initiative. It was kinda lucky for me to hit OTR or whatever.
I just wanted input. I wanted to know what other people would have done in my shoes vs. two calling stations. I know I said no reeads on zone... however, people in general are terrible and call extremely light. I have been called OTR more than once with AK and no pair, and it was GOOD.
