pokerstars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (6 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

MP ($4.60)
Hero (CO) ($5.54)
Button ($3.92)
SB ($5) This guy was like just a regular TAG.
BB ($3.82) This guy was a 9/3 super nit over a fair sample.
UTG ($2.07) Ok I have no worthwhile reads on this guy as yet so assume he could be a 25/13 average Joe.

Preflop: Hero is CO with 8

UTG calls $0.05, 1 fold, Hero bets $0.24, 3 folds, UTG calls $0.19

With that short stack and a small bet call I am guessing a low pocket pair.

Flop: ($0.55) 7

UTG bets $0.15,

This to me suggest he is either trying to trap me with a 7 , has a FD or perhaps 99-QQ. I hate these weak donk bets and feel the urge to pretty much ingnore them. Just a second ago I realised that perhaps my raise would usually get called by a hand that beats me!

Hero raises to $0.46, UTG calls $0.31

Perhaps not a good bet?

Turn: ($1.47) J
spade.gif
(2 players)
UTG checks, Hero checks

Time to give up...

River: ($1.47) 9

(2 players)
UTG bets $0.30, Hero folds

Obviously have great odds here but with three overcards I decide to fold.

Total pot: $1.47 | Rake: $0.07

Well played?
Perhaps my post flop play could use some work.

If you're going to play the flop/turn this way, you have to call the river imo. He never has much here actually (unless he flopped quads). Limp/call UTG preflop is almost always a small pp.

Well played until river, lol @ folding getting 6:1. Even if you're not good here 1 out of every 7 times (which I really doubt), the info you get on his betting patterns with certain hands on certain boards is worth well more than $0.30

With the possibility of him having a small pair, diamonds, or even ace high, I'd prefer to bet/fold the turn and check behind on the river here.

As played, call the river.
