So I'm rebuilding my bankroll at the moment playing some $6nl. I didn't raise preflop because it's a very loose table, I'm in the blinds and none of them are folding. I pot river because I figure hands like QJ/AJ/J7 are going to call. Please criticise my line. Villain was 57/0/0 over a tiny sample of 14 hands. Bet less on the river? Check/call? Shove?

Why wouldn't you shove over his river raise?

I think preflop is OK but there is likely more value in raising large and taking it down with a cbet on most flops.

If I popped it up to $0.60 pre the whole table would still call. So no worries about the flush hitting on the river?

No. It's backdoor and there are quite a few 2pair/TP combos that are going to pay you.

Results:
Hero had 2
diamond.gif
, 2
club.gif
(three of a kind, twos).
CO had 6
heart.gif
, A

(flush, Ace high).
Outcome: CO won $7.84

Whenever I see a minraise like this it always feels like the near-nuts. Maybe I'm just being results oriented.

I would have just called the river. From my experience river min raises want you to shove over them. Wouldn't be a bluff. Although the sample size is small villains like that will float and get lucky with some backdoors. It just looks more like a flush than 2 pair to me...

You're both being results oriented imo.

Does anyone try a c/r this flop even though there is not pre flop agressor? I would assume with 3 others in hand someone will bet?

It's not a great flop for it. If the flop were Ace high or more connected I think a ch/r has a lot more value than it would on this flop.
