I have 20 hands on villian. I thought villian was weak maybe 2 over cards or peeling to see turn card. When I checked turn I wanted to keep the pot small but still had no intention of folding. Typing this out I think i see my big mistake was betting the river. If i felt like i had the best hand on the turn a check call would have probably been more proper. your thoughts?

This is a fold after villain bets the turn. Check calling here was a bad idea and betting the river was even worse. Don't know what you were representing in this hand .. weird play.

Either bet, or c/f the turn. MP has a hand, and he's likely not floating since it's MW on the flop. So trying to get someone at these stakes to fold a middle pair is near impossible.

Finally, what are you repping on the river? What would you be c/cing the turn and then pounding the river like that with? It makes no sense and you'll get snap called w/ pretty much anything that bet the turn.

Odd play by both.

I think its better to be defensive on the river since you cant put him away and hope a cheap showdown.

I think the proper play is to bet the turn yourself, then check-fold the river. And betting that big on the river is completely senseless. Nothing you beat is ever calling, 88s+ is never folding, nor is any ace.
