re: Poker & $5 NLHE 6-max: 5nl zoom AQ semibluff line
I can see why you flat pre here, I do sometimes, but only if I'm pretty sure the blinds aren't going to squeeze or flat.
Floating this flop is ok here, I find that just raising c-bets on paired flops wins a lot straight away and you can get villain to fold top pair with big follow up barrels. Floating controls the pot and if your facing an unknown you don't know if they are fishy enough to flat your raise with an underpair or something.
On the turn I just think that if we are going to try to blow our opponent off a hand we need to be repping something, by raising the turn we are saying that we just flatted the flop with trips when the flop was two tone and have now decided that the 5 has scared us enough to stop our slow play? If I am villain here I'm going to make it like $1.90 back at you. I just can't think of a hand you can rep here other than 55. If the turn was a K say, I'd be much happier to raise. Also I think the raise size is too small, with that size you are only folding out villains bluffing
range which you probably beat anyway and are getting flatted by all pairs and draws.
On the river if you think you can make villain fold then the sizing is good. Personally I think I'm giving up, when villain flats the turn raise, they have one pair a lot of the time and you never know when your playing a fish who will just call you down with 99 here.
