Wow that is a massive shove. Your probably flipping vs his range. Flush draws straights draws and a pair, big combo draws, maybe 66 but only 1 combo so not very likely imo. Hed prob raise all over pairs. I dont think a call is bad but Id expect you to be drawing pretty thin a decent amount of time and flipping a large amount of the time. Honestly, Id fold cuz of the odds your getting and I dont think your ever a huge favorite, but I dont think a call is terrible.

Without reads, fold.

I know it's $5nl... and I know he's probably a fish... but I just can't seem to figure out whether you should be thinking "what would he do that with" (because really, how rational are these guys? I swear they do this with J8 here. $5nl players love J8) or just think "these guys over value everything, two pair is good for an all in".

I still think it's a fold though, pot size, massive shove that means you're playing for stacks when villain wants to be playing for stacks. Such a random shove that it could be anything but I'd still expect to be dominated by a set or a straight way too often to make the call.

Btw, you should have a HUD, Poker Tracker 3 has a free 60 day trial it doesn't offer full features but is very usable. If for whatever reason you can't then it's not too bad, you shouldn't be overly dependent on the HUD anyway but it is a useful guide.

I'm calling here. Against a random 5nl player I'm calling with two pair heads up on a shove.

Actually, I would probably do is look up the name on poker-edge.com. I'm still most likely calling here.

lol. I was about to say never fold two pair at 5NL.
Lucky I actually bothered to read the hand. Mega super duper fold!

sets straights and better two pairs crush us. The combo draws are flipping.
It's lose lose.

Looking back at it, i think a fold was a better play, but at 5nl i really didnt think through this, i dropped down for a thousand or so hands and i was like 20bb/100 for 6k hands at 5nl because of plays like this. high variance i know, and the 200bb shove should have been auto-fold -_- i dont think anyone shoves that much with any draw...so im left with top 2 pair, trips, straight, and a bluff to beat...lol.
