Hello,

Was unsure about my decision on this run out. Just looking for a bit of input. I think the the shove looks quite polarizing, but unsure wether a fold or call is the correct play.

I think you played the hand perfectly. Villain will show up with QQ and TT here a lot. I never really expected to see many Jx hands in the villain's range and I especially don't expect a Jx hand to be overbet shoving the turn like this (usually hands that overbet shove the turn here are hands like TT that are scared of Jx).

I hate these kind of hands. You've got a great starting hand then the board pairs and villain slams his stack in. Damn it! I'd probably call but can't say that's the best choice here. You don't have many hands on villain so you really don't know anything about what kind of a player they are. That would probably be the only reason I might think about folding. Either way I'm not happy 🙃

This situation sucks, I am probably calling, but only because he jams my check OTT. I would rather make a small bet, maybe 1/3 to 1/2 pot and be ready to fold.

When we check here, he can rep a J, unless you were intentionally giving him exactly that option? It is only 14 hands but I dont think he is jamming here with less than a J if you bet.

IMO, checking OTT was the wrong play, unless you really did want to give him a chance to jam with his QQ,TT, AK type hands, but you know nothing about him. Checking looks like you are scared of the J, so you have no idea what his jam means.

Next time, please dont post the results, it help to make more objective observations.

Looking back on it, you only had a pot-sized bet left on the turn, so it wasn't actually an overbet shove. Nevertheless, I don't expect the villain to show up with Jx hands a lot here (how often does QJ, KJ and AJ call a large 3bet?), so I am still happy with the way you played this hand.

But I agree with fletchdad that you shouldn't post results until after people have finished analysing the hand. Otherwise, you'll get some very biased results.
