Seems that you are beating hard the 5NL with the 450bb stacks.

Many options here. You can check/call all the way. You can check raise this flop ( not a big fan ) or you can bet this flop big and shove any non spade turn witch a would be my play since you are OOP.

Pretty obvious bet/call IMO. Villain with a big spade probably thinks they have overs + FD, but they don't.

Why would we check here?

Unless the 4th spade comes, I would tend to think I was ahead.
