My image is TAG. This is the 1st time he has re-raised me. Im guessin villan had QQ or KK? and was tryin to slow play me. He called my flop bet pretty fast. Wud u fold on the river to this?

With the small amount of information posted I'd fold the river, because you really aren't beating any decent hand. I doubt he would reraise you with any hand containning an 8 so it's fishy at best that he is betting that. You don't beat a flush, or an ace it would be wise to just let it go in my opinion.

Looks like K's or Q's here. He probably smooth calls the flop in the plan to check/raise the turn, but the ace likely scared him. The river showed another ace which probably made him think his pocket pair was best.

I think we fire this turn kiddo

tough spot though since I can see him check/calling flop w AK AQ AJ and even raggier at these limits...

What's is a TAG three-betting you with pre-flop that doesn't have you beat on the turn?

I fold.

Just my opinion,

If he is a TAG, is the flop bet good?

If he has an OP, he wont fold and its probably ahead of yours (or at least if he rerised, I think you would fold)

If he has AK,AQ again I cant see him folding to one bet.

The turn.. I think there are more pairs in his range than Ax hands, so I'd bet here selling your hand as AK,AQ. The bet should be little over 1/2 pot. You want it to look as though you want a call, rather than trying to get him to fold because there is an ace.

River...... Well if he calls the turn bet, I think you have to fold.

The river could be a bluff, there is a very good chance that by selling the Idea that you have an A, means that he feels you would fold if you havent got the Ad. With 2 A's out its 50:50 if you have the Ad so its a bet size offering him almost 3:1 on a 2:1 chance.

Saying that, you dont have an Ace, and even though this could be a bluff, he probably has TT beat at showdown. So calling just isnt an option.

It could also be a value bet. I just dont see any way to profitably raise here. for him its a snap call / shove or a fold.

I think the place to put him to the test was the turn and not the flop as I cant see him actually folding anything on the flop that he would 3-bet preflop.

OP, if you're uncomfy bluffing , I don't think there's a problem with playing TT here just for a set, especially since we're almost 200bb deep.

with no history at all this is a pretty clear fold. The only thing you have is a bluff catcher.

However I agree with Stu. Flop looks pretty bad, he's not folding any of his ranger here so it has no point. maybe charging overcards, but they arent going anywhere anyway so no point. If you are going to bet the flop though, it should def be a decent bet and not that 1/3 pot dinky thing you did.

Turn is a nice barrel card because if he has jj-kk its a scary card for him.

River is complete bad card, just fold.
