( i orinigally posted in the wrong section )

Anyhow - had a very interesting hand today. Described below. Would be interested in your thoughts.

What should you do in this situation?

6 Handed. $2/$4.

I have healthy $528, after winning two nice pots with striaghts against small stacks who let me draw free.

I am in the cutoff with 9C JS. I call. Five people in the pot after no raises.

Flop = 10D JD 8C

Come round to me I bet full pot. SB Calls. Pot is now $60.

OK I am think I am good - but wondering what he must have.

Turn = JC

I think Great.... But decide to bet 1/2 Pot - Another $30.

He bets all-in......for $266.

I Have top Set and an up and down straight draw.

( I knew nothing about the other player, and only played 10-12 hands on the table at this point. I later discover he is a loose player )

I think we have to fold here.

What hands push this turn that you lead? I really can't think of any and unless we've pinned him as a very wild player, we can only really put him on a bluff a small % of the time here.

Really though, what can you beat that pushes this turn (however odd the play may be)?

It looks like it's a fold here after such a strong re-raise. Not sure if he isn't on something like AJ or KJ and is protecting his hand against a draw.

OK thanks Guys. thats what I did I folded.

I did not agree that he might have had AJ or KJ, as he would have had half a dozen hands that could easily beat him that would have called pre-flop - hence why go all in when thats the case. ( eg only get called if beaten )

The guy did not show - however stated that he had the straight. ( did not say which one. Q9 or 97 )
