£400 PLO Full Ring: 2/5 PLO Live Turn/ River decision
So I'm at the VIC in a 2/5 PLO game. Everyone (and I mean everyone) at this table (9 handed) is 3K deep.
I am in the small blind and I have KhQhJc4c and am almost 100% sure I butchered this hand.
UTG Folds, UTG1 puts 10 in the pot thinking it was a straddle and MP1 raises to 40. Folds around to CO who calls 40, folds to me in the SB and I call, big blind calls and UTG1 calls.
MP1 is new to the table, He sat with 5K and I know he plays high and I know he is super aggro and puts tons of money into the pot, hes the definition of an action player in the sense that he raises and 3 bets light preflop and c bets a huge portion of his range. He is tighter on the turn and river but still will fire bets.
CO is a middle age Chinese businessman, by my estimation he is stuck like 5k and he basically plays all his hands, he bets a lot postflop and calls down super light, IE 2 pair on straight/ flush board for like 60bb etc.
Flop comes KsTc5c. I check and it goes to MP1 raises almost pot to 175. CO calls and I call and everyone else folds.
Turn brings the Ad and I check followed by both of them checking.
River brings the 8c and everyone checks again. I win the pot obv.
Now I was discussing this hand with a player at the table and I think I agree with him in that leading the turn is the best play there. Now the way I played it was because both of those guys were hyper aggressive and I just though they would fire a bet on the turn. The idea behind the turn bet is that I will get tons of action from sets, Flushdraws and someone with a dry QJ will put money in and I have redraws to beat that. I also block the flushdraws if they are drawing to the nut flush.
The river is more difficult to bet, it is very likely that someone is drawing to the club flush as well and I only have 4th nuts. Now it was also discussed that this might be a bet fold but I somehow again believe that one of these 2 players are capable of firing a bluff on the river or overvaluing something else.
I just want to get some thoughts on this one.
