Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 27/23/3

Villain in this hand is a 27/23 reg over the course of 700 or so hands. Should we bet this turn? Should we check back and risk diamonds or even hearts a chance to get there? How big should our sizing be? What do we do if he raises?

I'd bet $100 or so. I think his range for calling the flop is reasonably wide. If he C-R I'd just fold as we have so few outs to improve if he's ahead and lost if he jams a red river card.

Check, $57, or $190 pot

Check if you want to limit pot size, do not want to fold to check raise, want to make him think he is ahead with an overpair so he will lead out from behind on river

$57-65ish if you are testing for a check raise in case he holds A8Ax, K8Kx and you are looking to fold, but I think most players who hold A8 type hands are raising/betting on flop

$190 if you feel you are ahead and want to price out flush draws. If you do this probably pot committed and have to rebuy if he pops you and you are behind :(

Lol I soooooo agree with this after the fact, but this isn't the path I chose.

What part? The fold to c-r?

Yeah, I mean it's tough cuz our hand looks super strong but this is one of those spots where you have to respect that fact that super coolers are lolstandard in PLO. After double-barreling on this board he has to give you credit for something and is rarely continuing with just overpairs or something.

No no I def would have folded to a c/r here I sadly meant I didn't bet this turn :(. However as you can see below the river sort of took all the guesswork out of this hand.

SB checks, UTG checks, CO checks, Hero bets $57.00, SB calls $57.00, fold, fold

Turn: ($190.00, 2 players) 3:heart:
SB checks, Hero checks

River: ($190.00, 2 players) 8:spade:
SB checks, Hero bets $142.50, SB calls $142.50

Hero shows J:diamond: 8:club: 4:spade: J:spade: (Four of a Kind, Eights) (Pre 33%, Flop 64%, Turn 78%)
SB shows Q:heart: 6:diamond: 5:spade: Q:diamond: (Full House, Eights full of Queens) (Pre 67%, Flop 36%, Turn 23%)
Hero wins $473.00

It's really just like the luckiest river in the world for me after checking the turn. Betting on flop from BTN and checking turn look like I'm stealing here 90% of the time. I'm pretty sure I would have gotten a call on the turn, and I would have bet between $100-$113. Then when river falls I probably look like I'm either FoS or I have KK/AA and he fold/calls based on the type of day he's having lol.

Damn, I hate posting after results have been shown. I am totally on board with a bet of around $100 on the turn, folding to a c/r.
