Hero's first hand on table. Hero walked up to see 67s and 9To go to showdown on a $1200 pot..my kinda table! Lol. Not sure how action went, but flop was 578, turn 3 river T, mighty pair of tens wins...probably ai on flop?

Hero gets KsQs in CO.

UTG, loser of the previous hand, says f it I'm allin $120. He had made indications that he would be shoving ATC while dealer was shuffling.

Folds to MP (winner of previous pot, now $1200 behind). Mp lol's, says 'i have to call this' and calls.

Bunch of solid borgata regs @ the table lol'ing @ the action..I almost wanna ask if these guys are as fishy as they seem? Lol

Snapfold, or?

Snapshove?

Probably stuff it in unless you think his "I have to call this" means he has a monster.

Ok so did you just get to this table, or were you there for quite sometime? I only asked because if your basing your info on the previous hand alone then that's not info to snap shove $500 preflop into this spot, unless I'm missing something here? Just because MP was playing 9/10o preflop last hand doesn't mean he has 10/9o here in this spot.

Now if you have been there for sometime, and you've observed this player make comments and then play, and then show up on river with B.S then it's an easy shove pre...Against UTG 67s loser I'd shove on him, but because M.P calls preflop and made this comment without any sort of helpful reads, I'd more then likely fold it preflop and wait for a better spot to get it in preflop

I only saw one hand naruto. But I mean besides the regs there's a good amount of poor play at the 2 5 tables. Enough that id say the preceding action was more a sign of donks playing than some advanced thinking/bluffing/bluffcatching leading to a 1200 pot lol

You're totally right tho, even if he has something marginal like aqo or ax for that matter I could be putting myself in awful spot unneccessarily

It's not $500 it's 100 BBs and there's already almost 50 in the middle. We should have tons of FE in this spot as well as good equity.

+1, and IMO based on the previous hand, caller isn't giving a speech w/ like AA looking to trap, opener might have us but were so often folding caller here. If he does call Im pretty sure we have him crushed and he just wants gamboooooool, flipping at worst here virtually always I think

Yeah. I should mention here: If you're shot-taking at NL500 and the 100 BBs is a lot for you, then I'd be OK with folding. But this is a pretty good spot and it's not like these guys are vaults. That's the thing about live poker, you sometimes have to take these "gamble it up" spots because if you don't take their money, someone else will.

Edit: Think it's obviously more likely that caller has a better hand than the initial shover, who is pretty much shoving 100%.

Jam it.

We can fold out tons of stuff like 55-JJ and AT-AQ that the caller might have. By card removal, he doesn't have QQ-KK often.

Pot is 50 BB and villain 1 (the shover) is probably on tilt. And villain 2 (the caller) probably knows this and is calling lighter.

If villain 2 shows up with AA.. oops. LOL Re-buy.

Good comments above. +1 to baudib-if I was shot taking, might chicken out.

Hero shoved, mp tank folded. ATo sounds like somewhat because he was going to see my cards anyway. Board all blanks, my kq>original shovers QT.

Mp guy gets pissed off, calls me a maniac and talks about my awful play for rest of session. Thankfully wasn't a very long session as one of the solid regs stacked him soon after lol :)

HAHAHAHAHA!! Awesome.

Now pure ownage would have ensued if you stacked MP guy too.

Usually if someone is talking about "awful" play, they aren't strong players.

A similar situation happened to me during 2/5 at Crown Casino, Melbourne a couple years back. Was 7-handed at that time, early morning on a Saturday.

This guy named 'Crazy John' just lost 4/5 of his stack and decides to ship his last $190 in the dark, as a straddle. Folded around to me on the SB and I looked down at QJ suited. I was up $200, had about $700 in my stack, decided QJ would be a good matchup against his ATC, called. BB behind me checked his cards, tanked and declared all-in. We had the same stack size. I knew instinctively he was squeezing. I was a new face on the circuit then, he was a reg on 2/5 and was a very capable player. I felt if he did have AA KK or even QQ, he would have flatted the $160 and try to milk me postflop as I'm sure he thinks he can outplay me, not that I'm saying he couldn't. Just relating what I thought he thinks.

Anyway, I struggled with the decision for close to 3 minutes. Decided i was even money against over 75% of his range here (mid pockets). Worst case was he had JJs or AK. Still, with the pot at $1080, and already having $190 out there, it was $510 more for me to call, was getting 2:1. I called. He looked disgusted, board ran out J 4 10, K, 4. He tabled 55s, I flipped over my cards to win the sidepot. Oh, Crazy John had J 4 lol, but no matter.

I related this story to share my view that, yes theoretically in that spot above, KQs shove might be a +ev play. But I believe that in similar spots but with slightly different dynamics, the play should be different. I called because I knew the BB was a good player, capable of this play, like the TS. But does this mean I made a bad call here? I didn't think so then, still don't think so on retrospect. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Sorry for riding on your thread TS.

Trust me I've stuck it in with worse.

Those situations where a guy is going to go all-in blind can be fun.
