re: Poker & $400 NLHE Full Ring: KK OOP vs loose maniac
The way I look at it is this:
-We have no idea where we are at this point in the hand, we know that the villian is an ATC player and is aggressive.
Option one: Check
Result: Villian Bets we have no idea where we stand.
Thats a bad option
Option two: We bet small 40% of the pot
Result: we get called then we think we are in good shape, seeing as the villian would likely raise a flush or a set. We also have outs like another club, another king, another 8, plus we save a lot of money if he puts in a big raise because we can leave the hand easily.
Option three: we bet big
Result: Same as before except we are risking more money and losing more money if he check raises.
I think a small bet here would work best, it is almost a semibluff because we are either way behind or way ahead. It also lets us control the size of the pot.
I would love to hear what you think
