$400 NL HE Full Ring: $500nl, live. What do you need to call?

What do you call with here (decision is obviously made on the flop) and what range do you put villain on?

Relevent info: hero is new to the table, villain has limped most hands for a full orbit. Nothing really known about his post-flop play yet.

Hero 100bb (BTN), villain 60bb (UTG)

Pre-flop: Villain calls, folds to CO who calls, Hero raises to 5bb, folds to Villain who calls, CO folds.

Flop: 4h5h6c
Pot is 12.5bb
Villain bets 10bb
Hero calls

Turn: 4c
Pot is 32.5bb
Villain shoves
Hero calls

my guess is some flush draw or with a seven, cuz most draws are shoving that turn

its kinda hard for him to have 88, 99 here, he prolly wouldnt play it like that tho since you were the o.r

he obv never has a set or a 4

so it only makes sense that a large amount of the time he has a decent drawing hand

oh and i call with 10's and up here i guess, and even AK sometimes

it makes the decision easier that u noticed he limped alot which makes it easier to believe he has a drawy hand and AK's good

It's hard to say without post flop reads, and I never played live but online someone who just limps in every hand is very unlikely to be bluff-shoving like that on someone new to the table.

Seeing his limping habits 87s and small sets turned boats seem very likely, along with overpairs Underpairs are possible I guess if he's putting you on AK-AQ but less likely. Much more than bluffs IMO and the SPR is low so there are no merits for calling with any overpair, maybe QQ+ merit calling but it's a coin flip there as well

With that said it would be very hard for me to get the discipline of folding KK here...

Call with all overpairs, this line from an unknown is a draw much more than trips or a straight

Don't you think people that are that aggressive would raise pre-flop and not limp/call all the time though?

Limping/SB completing/posting blinds early and other bad habbits happen a lot more often live.

Personally I took his frequent limping to mean he's loose but I didn't attatch a passive or aggressive to it.

My range here was almost the same as Zybomb's. Loose villain + drawy board + short effective stack, if I can beat the pairs on the board I'm never folding here.

I gotta agree here. With a perpetual limper, any draw makes them salivate. They might want to represent the 4, but shy of any set, you are good with any overpair.

I like raising the flop with an overpair, a big ace, or a draw of some sort.

As far as the turn action, I don't like calling here with less than a combo draw. However I wouldn't be terribly surprised to call and have villain show up with an idiot straight draw and 2nd pr.

i would insta fold.
I agree Limping/SB completing/posting blinds early and other bad habbits happen a lot more often live but also turn overbets as a bluff happens rarely as far as i observe.
