Okay, so, trying to figure out where I went wrong here. I have my own thoughts but definately need help to improve my game.
$2/$5 $500 max cash game.
-I have about $575 behind me. I'm UTG +1, i pick up 8c8s.
- open raise to $20. Button and SB call.
-Flop comes 4d10c9c
-SB bets out $45
-I call
-Button Calls.
turn card comes out 7c.
-SB bets $100
-I shove all in for remaining $510 or so.
-SB has $400 behind and calls. Button has folded to my shove.
River card comes Ah. Complete blank.
SB shows pocket 10s for a set.
My thoughts - Maybe shoving on the gutshot straight flush draw was a bad idea? If I just hit a flush theres 4 cards to a flush on the board, so how good is my 8high flush going to really be? Maybe just flat calling him next time and shutting down on the river?
Any advice?
After this I had KK with about $100 behind, got 3bet to $65, I shoved all in, got called by 77. Flop came a 7 and his set held.
Next hand:
My stack: $500
I'm on the button.
-I get deal AhQh.
-Action gets limped around to me.
-I open raise to $20
- 2 players in middle position call.
-MP1 has about $750
-MP2 has about $125
Flop comes
2c3h4h
MP1 bets out $55
MP2 shoves all in for last $105
I 3bet shove.
MP1 calls.
Turn and comes brick and river comes 6.
MP1 shows 22
MP2 shows 66.
My thoughts: I honestly feel like I had the right odds to shove here, I didn't feel like it was a flop that hit MP1s range much and with the 2 hearts and a gutshot giving me 12 outs or %48 to hit by the river, I figured this was a good move. And also being heads up trying to isolate the pot with MP2.
Any advice again?
Hand 3, last one!
I rebuy for $300 at this point, it's been a 12 hour session and I should've left when I was up early on.
I get dealt 10h10c on the button.
It gets limped around.
I open raise to $20.
SB calls.
BB calls.
Folded all round.
SB and BB have me covered by about $400. (they took my previous chips -.-)
Flop comes 7-10-5 rainbow.
I bet $45.
Sb folds.
BB calls.
Turn comes 9.
BB bets first this time, for $110
I reshove all in for my remaining stack (Around $235)
BB calls.
He shows 6,8 for the straight.
River comes blank. I'm only making a full house 1 in 5 times.
My thoughts: probably should've gotten away from this easy now that I think about it. I had the betting lead pre flop and on the flop, so when he bets out first on the turn with a straight, I guess I could either just call or fold and move on. Maybe I was tilted. Been a rough night.
AGain, advice?
Appreciate anything you guys can help me with!
