venus has been making raises a lot but ive only seen one hand where venus had AAxx so i dont really give her much credit. Turn i wasn't sure if i should raise or call here because everyone else's call looks like they could also be chasing flushes so if a heart hits on the river i could probably get some value from them. Thoughts?

I would raise... if heart doesnt hit chasers are gone so get it in now... if anyone is hoping board to pair (they have set) make them pay... this is a pot raise to me... :icon_salu

Bet flop 3/4psb to full psb, shove over a raise. Nobody has two pair or better when it checks around, and we almost certainly have the best draw (AKJ9 with backdoor flush draws is a better draw, but unlikely anyone has it). Note that we're going to have a problem getting the money in when we check behind on the flop if our wrap draw hits like it does here - it's easier when we bet the flop.

As played, pot turn and pray someone has a set, J9, KJ, or two pair w the Q high flush draw. AAxx isn't calling (unless you're really lucky).

Edit: You're freerolling both with the flush draw and a higher straight draw against any KJ hand...

Oh, when posting hh's, please use position names rather than the actual names...

there is merit in betting every sing time you called/checked in this hand. Sly gave the best advice, I am looking to put money in on the flop and even more money in on the turn.

You're right i shouldve bet the flop. Im still getting used to betting when checked to in omaha. What do you mean by im freerolling?

Freerolling is one of the more awesome things in PLO. Let's say you pot turn, get raised, and shove - Villain has KcJdxx for the nuts, which you also have. Any heart, K, or J now gives you the absolute rivered nuts, you win, he loses.

so basically freerolling means that i have the nuttiest of nuts at the time even if the other guy had the nuts

No, it means that you have re-draws to a better hand when you're tied for the current nuts.

Edit: What's really fun is when you and villain are freerolling each other. Happened to me yesterday, we both had nut straight, I had a redraw to a full house + redraw to nut flush in one suit, villain had a redraw to the nut flush in a different suit. Of course, my two redraws missed and his hit...
