$4 NLHEFull Ring: 2NL AKs flops TPTK in Multiway pot, improves to Full House, loses to bigger FH

No stats on villain. Maybe my 1st mistake was flat calling with AKs. I did it because my experience with AK in multi-way pots is that it does not do very well and the size of the raise needed to narrow the field quickly leads to a big pot that often misses. Also I probably should have bet smaller or slowed down on the turn but I've been successfully barrelling on each street with TP/OP type hands and opp was calling not raising. Had he re-raised I may have slowed down but I guess he didn't have to as I was doing the work for him.

Actually AKs does fine in multiway pots, but if you felt it doesn't why didn't you raise?

Raising is totally standard, I'd make it .20-.25 to go.

As for the rest of the hand, it's kinda pointless. Assuming you don't fold on the turn (which you shouldn't), there's no way you're not stacking 3rd nut FH in this spot.

And you're still missing some basics. Don't post results. This is essentially a bad beat thread. Agonizing over coolers is not going to help you at all, you're missing the whole point of HA.

I think you played this a bit too passively preflop, I would have reraised UTG+1's opening to ensure that I have position throughout the hand. A big reraise might actually make the BTN fold TT preflop (although it's very very unlikely).

Your raise on the flop was okay. There is a very good chance that you had the best hand there. When the BTN cold-called your big reraise, that should raise a red flag. Either he had a huge draw (Straight+Flush draw), or he had a monster.

Hence, I would definitely slow down on the turn, as my hand was probably nothing better than a bluffcatcher at this point. Check-calling, or even check-folding the turn to evaluate the river would be the way to go in this case. You can think of it this way, if he was on a draw, he would probably check behind to see a free river card. If he betted after you check, you're probably beat since your raise on the flop told him you have a hand, so when he betted the turn he must feel confident that he has that hand beat. Basically, unless he was bluffing, there was no hand that cannot beat your two pairs that he would feel confident value betting the turn in this spot.

However, as the river card fell, all the money would probably have gone in anyway. But imagine if the river does not pair the board, you could have saved yourself a lot of money by not betting the turn. (Or let him set the price, which might actually be lower than 1.46 bucks)
