$4 NLHE Full Ring: those killer JJ win this time--but was it good play?

I always get killed pushing with JJ. My win rate over 10 hands with JJ is 40% and I'm down $5.08. Here's one time I wonder if I made the right play.

I'm snapping off these donk-jams every time.

If our opponent had made a normal 3-bet, I'd be more wary, since that shows to me villain knows what he's doing. That's not the case at all here.

thanks for the feedback, especially re. the 8bet. Truth is I've had such a s***ty record playing JJ that I didn't want to see a flop.

I should pop open HEM and see villain's VPIP/PFR/AGG stats just to provide further information and see whether I read him right.

8x does seem extreme. But, I'm not sure where you get the "usual 4x" when you weren't playing the table. Maybe you can elaborate on this.

Most solid players open up 4xbb and some 3xbb it's just your preference. By opening up larger we don't get calls wide enough by peoples range making it -EV
