Why go in when there is possible completed straights and flushes on the board? J call or fold. Also, bet bigger on the flop and turn, 1/2 pot size bets are giving odds for a straight or flush draw to call you down and draw out, try betting 3/4 to pot size on a flop like this.

I agree, bet bigger on the flop and turn, check the river and if he leads out big fold it. Your hand isn't that strong on a board like this, even vs an opponent like that.

Cheers

You gotta think about your hand strength and how much you wanna play for and how many BBs deep you both are.
Your both ~100bbs deep, and you have top pair on a scary board. Do you really want to play stack for stack with just one pair? Think about it..
This is a cash, so you shouldn't really be getting it all-in with just 1 pair... if it was a tournament you probably would, but would have less than 50BBs most likely.

Thanks for the advise. I sometimes fall too much in love with pairs, especially against people I think are fish. It is something I need to work on.

You might want to consider his vpip/pfr beyond just that they show he's loose. He didn't pfr on 1/3 of the hands he has played. If this was because he limped and/or limped behind a lot, it may indicate he's a different kind of loose player than if he has those same stats from limping less and calling a lot of open-raises. The latter seems more likely to show up with the hand he did.
