$4 NL HE Full Ring: Set of Q's on flop, possible straight on turn, what should I do ?
Sample was on 21 hands for villain
24 VPIP/10 PFR/0 AF
I flopped top set, everything is going really well for me on this hand
Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.04(BB) Replayer
SB ($4.69)
BB ($6.98)
UTG ($4.88)
Hero ($5.01)
UTG+2 ($3.97)
MP1 ($5.06)
MP2 ($2.43)
MP3 ($1.38)
CO ($5.29)
BTN ($4.94)
Dealt to Hero Q♦Q♥
fold, Hero raises to $0.16, fold, fold, MP2 calls $0.16, fold, CO calls $0.16, fold, fold, fold,
FLOP ($0.54) 2♥T♦Q♣
Hero bets $0.39, MP2 folds, CO calls $0.39,
TURN ($1.32) 2♥T♦Q♣K♠
Hero bets $1.30, CO raises to $2.60, Hero calls $1.30,
RIVER ($6.52) 2♥T♦Q♣K♠A♥
Hero bets $1.86, CO calls $1.86
Now everything WAS fine, I know that when you flop a set, you almost always have the top hand and you'll rarely lose to a better hand, however, I learned that villains in the micros just LOVE to play stuff like J-9, K-J, Q-J and occasionaly just calling with A-J
I doesn't look too bad on the turn since I don't think he has slowplayed KK preflop according to his stats and the odds for him having exactly J-9 are small so I called his raise.
And then that A comes on the river, I didn't really know what to do on this so I tried to go all-in since i was already commited to the pot...
Did I play this one ok or not ?
TIA,
ARU
