in this hand i feel i played it a bit fishy, especially on the turn.got scared by the 3rd spade.i feel i shouldve barred on the turn again but since villain is a calling station with no notion of odds im not sure he wouldve folded any draw.what do you think?

Against a super fish, I bet the turn and river I think. Check/calling the turn is pretty gross IMO. He's not going to put in real money unless he's ahead, and we have no draw to catch up with but he has many that can still hit. I just bet the turn for $2.

Check/folding the river isn't bad, since he'll turn his flushes face up like he did in this hand. Clarkmeister says you should bet here, but with kings, we beat everything he checks and lose to most things he bets, since I don't think a fish bluffs often.

Even if you bet on the turn, he will call since you said hes a station.

I definitely agree with your river fold.

Yea, agree with all above.

Flop and river were nice. Turn you may want to reconsider... Opponent bet very little there and in the micro-stakes that often means they either have the nuts are are on a draw. Check raising would be fine, but as hffjd2000 said he's calling no matter what.

You can't let him draw for free with a spade so you should definitely bet out there, since you will be called with worse. I expect better hands to act more aggresively and raise there, so you can easily get away if you are beat.

bet turn for value and fold river

remember, the point of the microstakes is to develop understanding of the game, there is a lot of math and theory to support betting the turn for value. IF you construct a hand range for the villain you'll find that betting there is very +ev with kings.

Hi,

Imo the first mistake in this hand is pre-flop. You should've raised to about 48c. Other than that, pre-flop was fine.

Post flop, Bet sizing was fine, but you should've barreled again on the turn instead of checking. I think the moment you checked was the turning point. The villain had the initiative from then on.

River fold was fine though.

River fold is fine as played. I would always barrel the turn here against this type of player though. There are so many worse hands that a player this bad can have and will call done with.

Why are you not firing turn? So many draw type hands and worse pairs that we're missing value from, his range is never limited to a flush draw so keep firing, if you get played back at obviously it's an easy laydown on a board like this.
