$4 NL HE Full Ring: QQ to a shove from an aggressive player

First of all, this is for a 0.01/0.02 NL cash table on FT. Not sure why that option didn't show up in the dropdown menu, sorry for the confusion. To my post: I'm new to cash games so I'm waaaaay out of my element here. I'm sure I'm doing tons of stuff wrong, but thats exactly why I'm posting here. To ask all you good people to let me know what's what. I've been playing nothing but 45 and 90 man SnGs for the first 3 months of my poker career, and just got my roll to where I can play the .01/.02 cash games on FT.

A little bit of context, the villains in this story have both been playing quite aggressively: re-stealing and re-raising several times. I'm putting both of these guys on anything from a medium pocket pair to a naked ace, although I certainly wouldn't put AK or AQ out of their range. So I'm guessing that at best I'm a strong favorite, and at worst I'm a coinflip. The shoves here come after my standard 2xBB raise from UTG holding QQ. How should I respond here, given that I feel pretty good about how my queens fair against their range? In a tourney this would be a pretty clear fold/call depending on the stage of the tourney, but like I said, I'm new to cash games so swimming a little bit in uncharted territory here...

Many thanks in advance for any responses!

Did u raise by 4 cents or by 2 cents to 4 cents?

Call, if the 2 players have been raising and re-raising a lot then QQ is ahead of both their ranges.

Also I'd find it hard to fold QQ to this action in a tournament also. Maybe in the first few blinds level I could find the fold button but after that I'm shipping them out 100% of the time.....well unless the person who calls the droolers shove hasn't played a hand in the first few blind levels in which case I'd have a tough decision in the first hour.

At this level, you can't ever fold queens preflop. At higher levels, it's rare to find a correct fold with QQ preflop, and requires very specific circumstances. At $0.01/$0.02 it's borderline criminal to lay them down.

Also, I belong to the school that thinks that you should raise larger in early position. My standard EP raise is 4xBB, 3xBB in other positions and (depending on who's in the blinds) 2xBB on the button.

If I were u, I'd raise much more than 2xBB UTG with your hand. A lot of players at this level will just call you with almost anything, suited cards or stuff like broadways or ace rag so better protect your hand right from the start.

I used to raise 6BB+ with strong hands, and even then, sometimes you will see that 6BB won't cut it and you'll need to raise higher PF. Otherwise you'll be in a 5 player pot with QQ which is a really bad thing.

As for your hand, with only two players in the pot, I'd call the all-in and wouldn't even think about it, sometimes they'll have better than you but If they have been reraising and restealing all the time, chances are that you are beating them PF so call the shove.

Now you MIGHT be beat by a higher premium pair or even someone with an
Ace who hit but that's ok since you made the good decision.

Hope it helps you and good luck in the micros. :D
And sorry, english is not my native language so I might sound funny sometimes.

And If someone thinks I'm wrong, feel free to correct me,

Thanks very much for the responses. I'm very happy to see that my thinking is more or less in line with that of the bright people on this forum. I indeed called the double shove, and what's more my reads were spot on. One of them held AKo and the other a pair of Tens.

I was happy with my call since I was getting more than 3 to 1 on my money with over 40% equity in the pot. And then a K came on the river. Not happy with the result, but my gut told me it was the right move, and now that you all have confirmed it here, I'm even happier with my decision. I'll be posting here fairly regularly until I get a better handle on the cash game scene, but I'm off to a good start with over 100BB profit in less than 2 hours and 200 hands.

Thanks again, and best of luck at the tables!

T.
