I'm thinking I should have have raised it to 4BB pre, and more on the turn/river

Yep. I don't think the bet sizing is terrible though by any means

I think you're right. Pot sizes grow exponentially. Its amazing what .02 will do and they call .06 as often as they call .08.

IF you had raised .08 then the pot on the flop would be .19 so you can bet .15.

Turn pot is then .49 and you can bet something like .40.

River pot is then 1.29 and you can bet 1.00 making the final pot 3.29 instead of 2.51 all from just raising .02 more PF.

Definetly agree with Onemorechance and Brank, on some loose tables (2nl) I even like to make it 5BB, maybe even 6BB at times.

Wow really 5/6BB? How much more folds do you get though?

To be honest 6BB is very rare, its 4BB on a normal table, and 5BB on a looser one.

I'm not really sure how many more folds I'm getting but as long as that 67/3 in the corner keeps calling me, I'm sticking with it. It works for me for now.

I think it really depends on the table and position. In EP on a table of calling stations I make it at least 5bb+. If they'll call it then do it. In LP I'll make it .08 at least and more if the blinds love to defend though you should be finding table with weak tight players in the blinds.

When you have big hands raise more and when you're stealing in LP then raise less, they wont notice or adjust anyways.

That's EXACTLY word by word my thought process, it's like I'm reading me. When I started I always thought people noticed a lot at 2nl, they don't.

A player on this board told me the exact same thing during a sweat session and it has helped me more than the majority of things I have read up until now. Proof that being part of a poker forum is just the right thing to do if you want to improve.

At what level would they start to adjust/notice the different sized bets?
