What could he have had? The dude just lost a kinda big pot at the table, so maybe he'd shove with a flush draws ... Not many aces would call pre right?

I dunno, I feel like I usually call in those spots and get burned, but I'm just trying to thing of what aces would call... do we just accept that he had AK with the 2 aces and 2 kings left over and move on?

What's his fold to flop c-bet? Lower than 50%, and I'd bet the turn. Lots of pairs smaller than kings in his range.

ah, ok... for sure bet out though? I agree worse pairs could call... I s'pose it'd be hard for some pairs to make a bet themselves.

But then again if we bet the turn most pairs would fold eh? Is that still better than letting them draw for free?

Keep it simple... c/c flop to allow his bluffing range to bet, then lead the turn. It also looks like you might be slowplaying when you take this line, so you won't get bluffed off pots on the turn and you can still get drawing ranges and some second best hands to call while you set the price for the pot.

You can bet small on the turn, it will look like a value bet, and a 19VP suggests villain is sharp enough to realize it as a value bet.

Lots of Aces will call pre, certainly suited, and certainly a broadway A. That '19' suggests to me villain will not show up with mid level or lower SC's, nor baby pairs. But 66 is at the bottom of any range I might put the villain on.

You heeded your gut on this hand, and I commend that. Certainly not easy to do.

I think his bet was bigger than playing ace, if he really limped ace he would bet you smaller on river like 18BB, And your choice to check river and give up was bad you should attack one more bet like for 18,5BB

I think first of all OOP you shouldnt show this weaknees you showed at the turn, its ok to make cbet but you should also bet the turn to show strenght this 2/3 bet on turn is probably showing some bluff shot but with this weakness showed OOP its easy to bet this much at the turn. You could bet the turn again or call the turn with intention to check/ call river no matter what it is, but actually yout opponent can have this weak A so its 50/50 situation i would make these calls at end of the day.

Your flop bet signify that you do not have an Ace. Villain could be under pair JJ below. You checked the turn, you are scared from his perspective. I would call the river bet on this.

I would have bet 1/3 to 1/2 or check the flop here.

Check call or and lead the turn could made him fold like john A said.

Check and min raise on the flop would be a good line also.
