$4 NL HE Full Ring: Js in the SB

Villain is unknown. Im new to the table, played like 20 hands.

Flat or 3 bet vs an unknown? If I flat then do I just give up when over cards come? Being OOP just sucks.

If you do call I think you have to bluff catch one, probably two bets especially if it's only one over card but I really have no idea how to play those pots so take that for what little it's worth.

I 3bet this every time and fold to a 4bet because:
The 3bet is profitable.
He's going to call it a lot more than he should and then our equity post-flop is way better than if we just called.
If he 4bets his range is either KK+ or some equally bad but loose range, I think KK+ is way more common so I'm just getting out of the way.
Calling his raise and taking it post-flop results in bluff catching, I hate bluff catching OOP, the equity is questionable (I have no doubt that it's profitable, just I have no idea how profitable) and I'd rather avoid the situation.

Definitely 3 bet.

He'll either fold, call, or 4bet.

If he's a real unknown, I'd probably fold to a 4 bet as advised by thepokerkid123 given you've got no range to put him on.

If he calls, then you'll have to re-ev when flop comes down. :)

If you play 1c/2c NL on FTP say hi if you're ever at a table with me!

yup. 3 bet made the most sense to me. At 2nl there is a good chance this guy is weak/loose so value seems to be the way to go. Fold to a 4 bet is the plan.

Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero is SB with J :spade: J
2 folds, MP raises to $0.07, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.30, 1 fold, MP calls $0.23

Flop: ($0.62) 3 :diamond: K :diamond: 9  (2 players)
Hero bets $0.43

so I bet here but I dont know if thats the right move. I dont know that ill be folding any better hands out and dont know what calls me thats worse, maybe a 9T/FD or something like that?

Villain has flatted 3 bet so show aggression whatever the flop IMO, good size of c-bet too on a wet board.

Why is him folding out hands you beat like AQ and AJ such a bad thing? An A or Q could easily come on the turn or river and then you'd gain no pot whatsoever, and it would be too scary a board to carry on betting at for value :)

That's a really nice flop.

The only overcard that should make you nervous is an A because it hits ranges a lot harder but even that is really unlikely to have hit them. When it's a K or Q the odds go way down. Keep in mind too that he just called, that immediately makes the pp's/SCers more likely in his range so whilst high card deserve some attention they're not really that scary.
Bet, bet, bet and valuetown this guy until he tells you he's got you beat.
