$4 NL HE Full Ring: 2nl--Three way pot with second pair and nut flush draw

This was a three way pot in a typical 2nl (too loose and not to aggressive). The one who folded was 17/12/17 over 60 hands and the guy who called just sat down so I didn't have much of a read. I figured my odds were pretty good but I was just wondering what you guys thought.

If you still think you have the best hand in a preflop 4-bet pot, shove instead of flatting.

My preference would be to find the fold button pre-flop after the 4-bet. It's too easy to beat this level by playing solid poker and learning good habits before you move up. Flatting this preflop as you move up will only hurt you unless you do have reads that would influence your play otherwise.

I'm also not entirely sure how much fold equity you get in semi-bluffs at 2NL. You would have to believe that your J is already the best hand and that you could get value from worse once the flop hits.

Semi-bluffs are a good tool, but you have to know that your opponents can locate the fold button.

Preflop is were your problem lies.

In most cases I will fold AJs to a raise
I will be folding AJs 99% of the time to a 3bet
I will never play AJs to a 4bet.

If passive loose players 4bet you fold all but QQ+ and AK!

Why would you fold AJs to a raise? The vast majority of the times I'm getting raised by hands that are far worse then AJ. Wouldn't alot of people at 2NL be raising with hands like KQ, A10s, and medium pocket pairs? Should I fold because when the do have the hands that dominate me, I'm pretty far behind? AJs just seems, to me at least, like a hand worth calling. If I'm wrong I'd love to hear why so I can fix that leak.

Everything after this doesn't matter. Calling a 3-bet with AJ is bad, calling a 4-bet with AJ is absolutely ridiculous. Loose/passives do not 4-bet a wide enough range for this to be good.

PS - Your avatar, just like your preflop game, still sucks.

With the 4-bet preflop i tend to like laying down the AJ preflop. But since you called and got the flop you were looking for, just get it in. Because if you fold that flop theres no point in calling his 4-bet preflop

I don't know, i was in the same spot as you, and raised from the button with AJ and got reraised from the SB, i folded it... You could put him on AA KK QQ or AK... But some how i don't think you did, and he was pushing with small PP... Even with a flush draw i would still fold.
