Villain went mad at me after this hand but I figuered I played it fine. I was getting almost perfect expressed odds after BB calls the 3bet to call and set mine and villan's 3bet annouced he was willing to put his whole stack in with his hand as although he'd been very fishy (31/34) I'd yet to see him 3 bet over a couple hundred hands...Played well?

Standard. With 7 players at the table I'm always opening all pairs. Calling the min 3bet is a no-brainer even if the BB doesn't call because the min 3bet is AA 99.9% of the time and we're going to get his stack if we hit our set.

I don't care for your min 3bet on the flop as I think it actually looks stronger than shoving to some players, but other than that very well played.

lol im with chippy on this i want to see chat

Villain's chat?

Something along the lines of:

Villian: Well done donk face - you called my re-rasie with pocket 4s

He then went off on the usual line which is:

Villian: Man, I should stick to playing the higher limits, my main roll is over on Stars where I play $400NL yadda yadda yadda

lol and you have doubts because villain is a donk that outplayed himself? :)

I'll call a min-3bet with any two as I think it's worth it. 3 players in etc. etc.

Last night I won 2 stacks (1 was short tho, but 1 full) by flat calling 87s OTB to a guy that only raises 4% of his hands. Hit 2 pair on the flop, he had QQ other guy AA, easy game. He of course called me a lucky donk afterwards, let them be ignorant, it helps you

Yeah, all that matters is villain's 3bet % b/c alot of players only min-3bet when they decide to do it.

It's also note worthy imo that it's hard to put them on a range at these stakes sometimes, I've had people with 2-4% 3-bet do it with 86s for instance. I guess they flat call with QQ+ or something.

I think small 3bets are monsters a TON at these stakes. They think people will be more likely to call if they bet smaller.

And they're right but they're giving huge implied odds. No one ever thinks about how they're going to continue with a big SPR postflop if they're opponent wants to play for stacks. The only thing in their head is "Aces, don't want to lose my customer better min raise", followed shortly by "Lucky fish called with 22 and sucked out. ****ing Full Tilt is rigged!". :)

I agree 100%. I have been that player that thought I was just unlucky at cash games. Now I'm understanding that it was my own dumb ass mistakes costing me money. I'm gonna keep my eyes glued to this section of the forum because I eventually want to be a good cash game player. Thanks for the posts. They're all great reads. :)
