**Pardon the thread title, first time posting in this section**

First of all, I'm pretty new to playing cash games, I have mainly been a tournament player.

I had this hand earlier, and in hindsight realized I played it horribly. Let me know what you think.

I don't like check/calling the flop particularly, we've got a monster and we want to build the pot. I also don't like ch/raising this flop (too strong). So I would lead out here - any 6x will call, as will some draws. Even better if we get raised, we can re-raise. I also lead the turn w the flush completing.

No question that no matter what cards come on the turn and river, we're going all in. If you lost this hand to J6, K6, or 66, this is just a cooler.

If this is what we're hoping for, why are we checking the turn?

P.S. I remember this hand now, so nh, but checking the turn in particular is criminal.

From the small blind playing these can be tough. But you got a miricle flop.

I will bet tis flop most of the time. Check calling will reveal much more about your holdings, check raising is a great way to win a teeny pot and you want to get a nice pot started while you are ahead in a hand that is unlikely to fall victim to someone on a draw.

You want people on draws calling, and people with overpairs folding so I'd bet a significant amount. At higher stakes I think 1/2 pot is good to price in draws. But here I think a slight overbet is better. People on flushdraws do NOT use pot odds at these stakes.

These stakes a loose and very passive. So I might exaggerate plays to get a point across.

Bet the turn... you beat the flush and the flush draw.. and almost anything else. There is no reason to see a river.

Call river.
