$4 NL HE Full Ring: $2 NL - Too tight against loose villian?

Is folding on this flop too tight? Calling I guess isn't an option is it so it's shove or fold right?

Villian is fairly passive post flop so figured he maybe he a set or perhaps has 46..less likey. I figured (aftewards) that his most likely holding was A3,A5 or A7...thoughts?

I feel so naked without stats.

As played ugh i hate this kind of spot. He could be raising 66/88/99, a set, two pair or MAYBE a flopped straight(doubt it though because of the rainbow board and you aren't likely to have any low cards). It'd be hard for me to lay this down so knowing me i'd probably call and just spew it all on the turn. Is it the right thing to do? I dont know. Probably folding is a better option against an unknown

Since you overbet the flop, his range is stronger than a normal check/raise (or maybe newbs don't consider this sort of thing).

Folding OOP seems okay to me, but this is often going to be a "you don't have anything on this flop" raise as well. You probably have 50%ish equity on this board, but getting value from the parts of his range you beat (7x, bluffs) will be hard, and the hands you don't beat will almost certainly stack you.

Maybe if I had been really active & raising a lot, I'd stick around, but with this guy having position on you, that seems unlikely. Usually the people who play back at you are ones you keep isolating when they limp, or if you steal their blinds from them.

you overbet by a penny, so he probably didnt even notice the difference from a potsized bet. Your only 85ishBB deep to start the hand and since there are so many random spews at 2NL i think its a leak to fold overpairs for this stack size in the long run.

This is $2NL - I'm over 100BB deep.

A high flopbet like that looks like a bluff, so any hand that hit the flop can justifiedly re-raise here, as can pocket pairs or even Ace-high.

I think I fold 30% and shove 70%, thereabouts.
