I had Qh8h on sb. Two limpers ahead of me, and I limped, BB checked so it was 4 to the flop.

The flop is Q5T with two hearts. Sweet, the kind of flop I was hoping to see for cheap. I lead out with 12c bet into 16c. CO raises me to 39c. The other two fold. I thought about it and called. The guy's not particularly aggro I was pretty sure I had no fold equity (i.e. he wasn't raising light).

The turn is another Q. I checked and he insta-shoved. About $2 into not even a $1 pot.

I put him on a better Q than I, which would give me possibly 9 hearts plus 3 8s for 12 outs and possibly 2 more Ts for a split pot.

I didn't put him on a FH because I figure he's more likely to bet smaller with a monster.

And although I didn't have a lot of history vs. him, he didn't strike me as someone who'd spazz out with a mediocre hand at that spot.

I was pretty sure he was ahead of me here.

Fold? Or instead should I have bet/fold the turn? Bet/called?

Why don't you use hand history and just post it here?

As for the hand, it looks like he has you beat here.

Carbon hand. I don't know how to put that into conventional HH format.

go over the top on the flop reraise.in my book this hand says "shove" all day every day. you have top pair and a flush draw. when the second queen comes out ,its a definite shove. even if he has a boat ,i dont see anyoner being able to fold this .esp at such small limits too.if he has a boat, then it is what it is.you cant fold hands like this.

I'm assuming he has a mid pocket pair, hoping you don't have a Q and trying to buy you off a 10, 5, straight draw, or flush draw.

If he is any decent player, which only you can determine from his previous plays, then he would be trying to get most out of you that he could if he had trips or a full house. A shove makes me think he's scared of the 2 Q's or flush that could be.

As it turns out I was right that he was ahead but I was wrong in what he had. He hit a set of 5s on the flop and made the FH on the turn. I dunno why he would overbet with a monster there. I thought that he'd give me a chance to river the flush. I ended up calling and rivering a 10 to win. It's better to be lucky than good on any given hand, but I didn't feel very good about it afterward.
