Pre Flop: (pot: $0.06) Hero has Q♠ Q♥
fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to $0.10, fold, Hero raises to $0.32, BTN raises to $0.80, Hero calls $0.48
I 3-bet because I was out of position. Would probably do that all the way down to 88. Wonder if this is the optimal play against someone with a high fold to 3-bet? I don't want to fold out worse hands and don't want to get 4-bet. Of course then I get 4-bet. Is this an easy fold at baby stakes? I think at the time I figured he has AA/KK/AK
Flop: ($1.62, 2 players) 4♥ A♠ 9♦
Hero checks, BTN checks
If my read on his range is correct, I'm giving up. I check. Expected him to bet and then I'd fold. But he checked too.
Turn: ($1.62, 2 players) 3♥
Hero bets $1.21, BTN calls $1.21
Thinking his check might mean KK, I bet figuring he would fold the KK. He called pretty quickly. Now it's clear it is either AA, AK, or a total bluff. I have NO reason to think he'd bluff based on his actions so far.
River: ($4.04, 2 players) 8♣
Hero checks, BTN bets $2.05 and is all-in, Hero calls $2.05
This is the embarrassing part and why didn't I know better? This is my kind of tilt in that I talk myself into believing that now he's bluffing and I might have the better hand. Also this is what happens to me when I'm playing multiple tables (6) and get distracted by the high pair. I do it way more than I'd like to admit.
