Standard attempt to steal here but with a fish in the button had to call. I flopped a straight and although they were all suited and not in my favour I felt I had to bet. I bet both the flop and turn but then the river card was just horrible.

What's the best course of action to take here... Bet/fold? Check/fold? Check/call?

I felt as though he was fishing for the flush and must have hit it on the river - bad thinking perhaps? He could have just had a 10 and thought that straight was good... But my head was telling me, "He's on a flush draw."

Also, ignore the stats on the players - they're not all correct for some reason. Not sure why... My stats are correct but the villain's stats are actually:

Check/fold not at all close, any spade beats you.

Thanks for the replies. Check/fold is what I did - wasn't sure if it was the right decision or not. Glad I got it right!

I just wasn't sure whether by checking I'm showing a weakness that the villain could exploit by simply betting knowing there was no way I could call.

This villain is not the type who is going to be bluffing this river because you showed weakness by checking. In fact he's almost always trying to SD his Tx hands that you beat and even most of his flushes.

Villain doesn;t know you won't call. You can eaisly have a mid flush that is checking to catch bluffs. Besides nearly all villains range is value hands at this point. Tx is just going to check back seeing as it beats any non-flush other than your hand whilst flushes aren't going to fold very often.
