Hero
???

I had been playing with this guy for a few hands and noticed that he was aggressive and not too bright at times. So there i am with tens in the SB and him in the BB. Once the flop hit, i 3bet him because most likely he was just seeing if i made a c-bet with high cards or a lower pair. Once the turn came I saw the heart draw which seemed like he might have hit that (i've seen a ton of people raise with just a flush draw before) but I still bet.

I had trouble deciding how much to bet because I didn't want to half-pot it(in case he might have a dry ace or something) giving him good odds to call and yet i didn't want to shove just incase he did have me beat at that point. As you can see i made a bet barely bigger than a half-pot which pot committed me which means on the turn i have to shove.

Was this a good play or am I making huge mistakes?

All this stuff is good. Everything after that is absolutely vomit worthy. Unless this guy knows about Yeti theorem at 2$NL, I think this is charity.

woo easy C9 :)

He is right though, everything after the flop is bad; and here is why:

The continuation bet on this board isn't a horrible mistake, but after you get raised you should be letting it go. Any hand with a jack, 3, or larger pocket pair has us beat. Also a hand with a flush draw and just one overcard has 12 outs to draw to (about 48% to hit). So unless you have a very specific read that this is a flush draw or air you should be letting is go. The re-reraise is very bad.

On the turn the flush draw is now complete. Even if the opponent was only on the flush draw, the only draw on that flop, he now made it. So since you are far behind why are you betting? Only better hands are calling, all worse hands are folding, and there are no draws to charge so there is no value in betting.

I won't go into the river, this hand should have been folded after the reraise on the flop. However I understand that this limit is very bad, but unless he is regularly showing agression and showing up with air I think you made the wrong move here.

nice, but like I was saying, anywhere but micro limits this is probably a bad move. It looks like you had a good read.

Preflop is good, but even though we got a good result here what c9 says is correct: everything after the c-bet is just a spew. Occasionally we'll get raised on a bluff on the flop, so I don't 100% hate the three-bet but I wouldn't do it often and when I did, I'd make it bigger.

Once villain calls the three-bet on the flop we definitely have to shut down - we've shown massive strength and even short handed there's hardly any hands we beat that call us.
