Villian is 15/7
no real reads although he's yet to fold to a cbet after a few opportunities

I'm not sure if there is anything I beat once he minraises the turn (possibly a combo draw?), but can I fold to a min raise here?

On the river, I now have top set- but flush draws got there as well. Is this a c/f? I need to be good about 40% of the time for this to be a profitable call (if I did that right)...so what do you all think?

Merge - $0.04 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: $5.68
SB: $4.00
BB: $15.99
Hero (UTG): $4.06
MP: $4.29
CO: $4.01

SB posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.04

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.06) Hero has K<font color='red'>♥</font> K<font color='black'>♣</font>

Hero raises to $0.12, fold, CO calls $0.12, fold, fold, fold

Flop: ($0.30, 2 players) 8<font color='black'>♣</font> 2<font color='red'>♦</font> 6<font color='red'>♦</font>
Hero bets $0.30, CO calls $0.30

Turn: ($0.90, 2 players) 7<font color='red'>♥</font>
Hero bets $0.90, CO raises to $1.80, Hero calls $0.90

River: ($4.50, 2 players) K<font color='red'>♦</font>
Hero checks, CO bets $1.79 and is all-in, Hero calls $1.79

sorry, made two threads with the same hand....thought I could fix this format that I keep messing up the past few hand histories. Forgot I couldn't delete a post myself, could a mod delete one of the threads? Thanks.

when I preview the post it looks fine, and then it comes out like this. I'm using pokertracker and it has worked in the past but the last few times it's come out like this.

I remember someone saying it's because I was editing the history or something but all I do is type up my thoughts on the hand and then copy it straight from PT4. I'll look into it some more before I post another hand. Thanks.

I use HM2 so can't help there... I export to .txt file and then import straight from there into hand converter and then directly to forum.

Someone with knowledge of forum inner working could be of more help.

Nah, looks like he made a straight on the turn. Holds 9T suited, probably double draw to straight and that flush,

A flush was definitely a possibility, but wouldn't a typical player be more likely to raise the flop instead of the turn there? Unless he added an OESD to his FD on the turn I guess.

That was my thought...or he was slowplaying a flopped set and didn't want to see 4 to a straight on the river...although then he probably would have bet larger than a minraise.

Also, the turn only gives a straight to somebody playing a gutshot, which I thought may have made a straight a little less likely than if it completed possible OESDs...

Would you have folded to the minraise?

Probably yes, but I play full ring so can afford to avoid tricky situations and besides people don't bluff on this kind of a board at 2 NL :)

yeah, thinking back on it I feel this may be a shove or fold on the turn. Rivers rarely will improve my hand and there are plenty of cards that will complete draws and give me even worse situations on the river.

It could also have been that the villian called the pre flop raise with PP like 77 and then min raised when he hit his set on the turn. I don't think I would've folded the set in this case, even though it may be the correct play since so many draws get there by the river on this board.

I'm not certain you can fold to a min-raise because you have odds to draw to a higher two pair. Plus with your pot-pot line, you're near committed.

I'd still probably fold the turn. You go pot-pot against a nit, and then he Baluga's you. It's a very strong line, and opponents of this type aren't going to read the board and think "villain's UTG range doesn't hit this board well". Villain's most likely holding is a set or MAYBE TT/JJ, so I just give up.

yeah, I was convinced I wasn't good on the turn but couldn't fold to the minraise. Once I hit top set, figured I should probably c/c in hopes of him having two pair/worse set

Ended up showing 9T and had hitt he straight on the turn.
