SB: $1.45
BB: $2.65
UTG: $3.20
Hero (MP): $2.11
CO: $2.00
BTN: $2.00
Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero is MP with K:club: K:diamond:
1 fold, Hero raises to $0.08, 1 fold, BTN calls $0.08, SB calls $0.07, 1 fold
Flop: ($0.26) 8:club: 6:club: 5:heart: (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.20, BTN raises to $0.60, SB folds, Hero raises to $2.03, BTN calls $1.32 all in
Turn: ($4.10) Q:diamond: (2 players - 1 is all in)
River: ($4.10) 9:diamond: (2 players - 1 is all in)
Thoughts:
Villains: This is basically the first orbit of the blinds and so I have no reads on either villain.
Preflop: I raise 4BB (standard) two calls. Their ranges could be pretty wide, plenty of fish down at NL2 calling raises with a whole variety of hands. If they are any good they might have a pair or a suited connector here often or maybe some broadway combo.
Flop: The flop is middle cards and drawy so I am on guard but I have to bet to get value and to protect. When he raises I am pretty unsure what action to take; Fold seems weak, Call allows him to see the turn and there are a lot of cards I don't want to see there, Raise puts me in jeopardy if he already has me beat.
What is the "Standard" line here? Infact any general advice with dealing with flop raises is appreciated. I am quite poor at evaluating them.
