I believe the line I took this has was good but I want to get different opinions and feedback on how others would of played this hand. I would appreciate that. I give my thought process on my actions.

Button ($4.20)
SB ($3.92)
Hero (BB) ($5.50)
UTG ($7.33)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A

, A

UTG raises $0.08, Button calls $0.08, 1 fold, Hero raises $0.26

I make what I believe is a standard 3 bet with a value hand.

UTG raises $0.92, 1 fold,

OK this is were things get interesting. I know at this point I have the best hand without a doubt. My first thought was to 4 bet and make it a big bet...but I thought it for some seconds and decided to flat call. I believed that this player might fold the 4 bet but might shove the flop or continue to bet.

Hero calls $0.70

Flop: ($2.10) J

, 3

, 10

(2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $2.10, Hero calls $2.10

I just call down and let them "hang themselves".

Turn: ($6.30) 2

(2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $4.23 (All-In), Hero calls $2.40 (All-In)

River: ($11.10) 5

(2 players, 2 all-in)

Total pot: $11.10

Results below:
Hero had A

UTG had K

Outcome: Hero won $10.49

What do you think his 4bet range is, and how much is he going to fold if you 5bet?

On this hand, you took a fancy line that made no difference. He was going to get it allin pre- if given the chance. Before you take one though, you want to consider how likely you are to gain vs. lose (or win less) by taking it.

What do you think his 4bet range is?

The only things that make any sense at all would be AK and maybe QQ+/KK+
As for often they fold, I was honestly confused on that.

You can only estimate how often he'll fold. Part of this involves estimating how often, if you call to see a flop, it will kill your action. So for instance, if he's willing to get it in pre- with QQ, you're likely to win less any time an A or K flops. Even with AA in your hand, this is around 40%. If he's willing to get it all in pre- with AK, you're likely to win less when an A or K doesn't flop, so about 60%.

If he has KK, only two cards kill your action, but since he's very unlikely to fold to your 5bet, why take the chance an A will flop?

So basically, once you've put him on the range you did, you need him to be a player who will fold AK and QQ to your 5bet pretty often to make calling a better choice. You won't find many such players at 4nl.

No info given on villain so I assume he's a new player to you.

The only time you know you are ahead is preflop, and you've just called. I like to bet when I'm ahead. I only slow play monsters. AA is not a monster hand. If he starts playing back heavy post flop, you really want to stack off with 1 pair?

I'd be 5betting just enough so if he calls your bet, the pot is of such a size that you are both pot committed post flop and the pot is greater or equal to his remaining stack. Then you bet all in. I wouldn't check call either in that situation; Put him on the spot and he may fold marginal crap and you've earned. Otherwise he might bet marginal crap thinking you missed and risk him catching you on later streets. Why take that risk?
