Villain is 39/13 after 200 hands. I feel like I should be betting all 3 streets for value, he check-shoves the river and I couldn't really put him on a hand. Always gotta be worried about trips but I thought it was a lot more likely he had a weak ace or pocket pair.

SB: $3.96
BB: $6.04
UTG: $3.88
CO: $8.68
BTN Hero: $3.98

Pre-flop: ($0.06) Hero is BTN and dealt
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.12, SB calls $0.10, BB folds

Flop: ($0.28) (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.19, SB calls $0.19

Turn: ($0.66) (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.44, SB calls $0.44

River: ($1.54) (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $1.03, SB raises to $3.21 (All-in), Hero calls $2.18

This looks fine to me.

I highly doubt he has a 5.

However, it would help if you could describe more about the villain.

Does he call pre with any ace? If so than A5, A10, A3 all have you beat.

Plus you were getting good odds to call imo.

I also wanna hear what others think here because this is a very common situation that I face as well.

Meh, we only need to be good around 30% off the top of my head, i think we're beat a lot when he plays it this way, cause i just dont expect him to play this way with a worse ace very often.

To the guy above: A3 doesn't have us beat :)

So AK, A5, AT, K5 ?, 56s? 75s? Are only types of hands i can see him playing like this. But people just don't bluff here a lot i feel, ugh... i think its a fold probably. whether i manage to find that fold button is a different story :) If you have reads that he does crazy shit at all then its an easy call but if he's just a standard passive fish i just dont think he's gonna bluff us here 30% of the time that we need.

The only thing i can think of is...24 suited maybe? If he check calls the entire way and then raises all in, a straight would be semi-plausible but that would be ridiculous if he called all the way with a gut-shot straight draw.

Theres obviously the risk of a better ace or trips (or even pocket tens), but i think youre good.

Wow, I'm an idiot, can't believe I missed that lol.

Was it suited? As5s?

If it wasn't suited then he is a donk for calling your raise pre-flop imo.

People just arent doing this with pocket pairs or lower aces for the most part, sucks cause the board looks safe but i really dont think we're good even 20% of the time here.

There is no doubt the guy who called is a donk, he's playing 39/13. My number one piece of advice to microstakes players is probably bet until raised, it's really that simple, people actually don't bluff very often at the micro's and play very face up in lots of spots. The ones who are capable of bluffing in weird spots, you soon notice this and adjust accordingly, but theyre usually pretty easy to spot anyways and dont last long.

I fold the river. Villain can easily have 5x when he's a fish. AT can also raise here.

What do you think he does this with which we beat? He has next to no air in his range, is A7 really going to do this? Our only hope is he's floated clubs, flatted the draw on the turn then shoved it when it bricked which is way too thin of a hope.
