I'm pretty Sure I've played the hand badly but rather than just call me a donk some advice on Where exactly I went wrong and what I should have done would be much appreciated.

888 Poker - $0.04 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 4 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4: http://www.pokertracker.com

Hero (BTN): $4.00
SB: $1.85
BB: $4.42 VPIP 22, PR 20, 3B 8, fold to 4 bet 80 (4/5) 856 hands
UTG: $7.03

SB posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.04

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.06) Hero has Qh Kd

fold, Hero raises to $0.14, fold, BB raises to $0.42, Hero calls $0.28

Flop: ($0.86, 2 players) 9h 2s Kh
BB bets $0.75, Hero calls $0.75

Turn: ($2.36, 2 players) 4h
BB checks, Hero bets $1.18, BB raises to $2.83, Hero calls $1.65

River: ($8.02, 2 players) Td

Basically I think this villian has literally 3 bet every time when I raise on button or cut off, last 4 hands or so I had 4 bet and he had folded so i'm thinking he's gonna end up 5 betting sooner or later which is my reason for flatting. I've seen him 3 bet hands like K10 so think this is a possibility, i'm not really sure what to make of the large bet on the flop, On the turn I've picked up the flush draw aswell so I'm quite happy to GII. Would it have been better to check the turn and call/bet the river?

I think I'd check back the turn and get a free card. That way we can bluff catch on the river

Betting the turn isn't a big mistake, but I agree with checking back. Villain will likely bluff any heart, and his range is still crazy wide. Call any river.

Thanks for the comments.
I'm playing with this villain quite a lot at the moment and he's still continuing to 3 bet like crazy, He has snap folded to the 4 bet every time except once when we both had Aces, What sort of hand range could I be calling the 3 bets IP with and what hands do you think I should 4bet?

tighten button and 4bet constantly with aj+ 77+ or minraise flop.tightening up is very important and your opponent will have to adjust or he will be playing oop with the worst of it.

the ol' C9 push chart

* KK+: Good against any range
* QQ: vs 3% or higher
* JJ: vs 6.5% or higher
* TT: vs 8.5% or higher
* 99: vs 10.5% or higher
* 88: vs 12.5% or higher
* 77: vs 14% or higher
* AKs: vs 3% or higher
* AQs: vs 8% or higher
* AJs: vs 13% or higher
* AKo: vs 5% or higher
* AQo: vs 9% or higher

although personally i dont believe you should be pushing premiums pre.

so he 3bs a lot, so we should call w our premium hands to hang him (as if we 4b them his range is so wide hes prob gunna fold most of the tiem), and we 4b hands with lots of blockers/decent equity vs his range. so id just start calling his 3bs w TT-AA, and 4b jamming AJ+, KQ, 22-99

note that this is provided he actually folds to 4bs, which i assume he would

You'd rather 4-bet to about 25 bb's than 4-bet shove in most cases, especially when bluffing. And against this guy we should be 4-bet bluffing a lot since it seems like he can fold.

I also don't like opening on the button for 3.5x i would rather see 2x-2.5x. Especially since you said villain has 3bet every steal.

ahhh i missed his 80% F4B. ye def 4b to 22-25bbs is a much better option. i just said jam because theres nothing worse than 4b bluffing and getting flat called- and that happens quite a lot lol. still though esp considering his F4B i am calling his 3bs w QQ+ AK

Should I not consistently be opening to 3.5 x then? (bare in mind this is 4NL)

i vary my opening sizes based on position.

4bb from EP & MP, 3bb from CO, 2.25bb from button. but ye at 4NL id prob go 4bb from all except BTN where id just go 3.

Don't be afraid to call him in position. Like someone stated earlye let him hang himself. And 4b more and take that free money ;)
